High camp, low camp, everybody camp camp

Am down to my last essay, writing on camp in cinema- rooted in 60s films but will broaden my discussion to include Kenneth Anger (pop-camping from the 40s) and a bit of Douglas Sirk in the 50s.
Camp and consumerism- the former reliant on the latter, spectacularisation of excess. Sontag: camp as love of artifice and exaggeration. Consumerism (we desire/they create) provides plenty of ‘artifice’ for us.
Satirising the serious.
